The Job
The property had a soft, uneven spot where the owner wanted to drop a 30x40 metal building. The grade ran the wrong way for drainage and there were a few cedar stumps still in place from a previous clearing.
What We Did
Removed the remaining stumps and root balls
Stripped 6" of topsoil and stockpiled for finish work
Brought in road base and compacted in 6" lifts
Final grade with 1% fall away from the building footprint
Walked the pad with the foundation crew before they poured
Result
Level, drained, ready. The owner's foundation guy said it was the cleanest pad he'd seen all year.
